Hi, I'm Joy!

Growing up, I was always that person behind the camera, taking pictures of family and friends, assuring them that they'd be happy years later, when they could look back at those photos and reminisce.

After a career as an editor at magazines including InStyle, Redbook and Food Network, I decided to stay home when my children were born. And now I had captive subjects to photograph. I wanted to take beautiful photos of them, so I purchased a "good" camera, and I haven't stopped snapping since!

I love capturing a moment in time—a beaming smile, a slightly mischievous sparkle in the eye, a toothless laugh. To me, those moments are so pure, so magical. And fleeting. Let's make sure we freeze some of these special times together.
